The compositing exercises and assignments are presented to the students following both an exploration of Photoshop techniques and a lighting studio workshop. Students are asked to appropriate a Creative Commons licensed image appropriate to the theme; analyze it for the lighting, construct a similar lighting situation and photograph themselves under it; and composite themselves into that scene.
